Comments:

I've been busy since 1961. I graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1965. I taught in Germantown and New Berlin before moving to Ohio. I married and had two children. I was a stay at home mom for 10 years. I went to U. of Toledo working on my masters in Special Ed. Moved to MN, started teaching high school special ed, and finally got my Masters in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders when I was 50! I retired in 1998; I missed the kids, but it was a great decision! Since I retired I've been doing some things like aqua aerobics, watercolor painting, wood carving, and volunteering. Since my husband died, I have been spending time on-line looking for Mr. Right. It's been interesting, but not for the faint of heart!!

School Story:

I always liked school for the social aspects. The academics--not so much! During high school my life pretty much revolved around my relationship with Gene Fessenbecker, ah, love! About three years ago Gene stopped in to see me on his way from home in OR to his high school reunion--on his motorcycle! We had a great visit.
The best teacher ever was Gene Olson. It's hard to believe how much I learned from him. My women friends were always important to me in high school and still are today. I've heard and read that many people really hated high school. I feel blessed that I enjoyed high school and all my friends--even though I had to study, too! I remember the proms, the sock hops, the theatre. It was all wonderful!
