December lunch 12/13/12

Hi everyone,

Yesterday our lunch was held at the Boneyard in Mukwonago (sounds goofy, doesn't it?)  There were 12 faithful there and we had a great time.  We solved all of the problems of the world and then some!!!  If you missed it hopefully you can make the next one...which is shaping up to be the biggest and the best!!!

December we will go back to "Fork in the Road" in Mukwonago at 215 N Rochester Mukwonago WI 1-262-363-7849.  It seems we all enjoy the service and the food and the accomodations there.  It was decided to do the same kind of gift exchange we did last year.  Bring a "unisex" gift...for either male or female with a price tag of not over $10.  We all had a blast with that last year.  If you choose NOT to bring a gift that is fine too...then you just won't get one back...but I really don't think you want to miss the fun.

Along with the gift exchange we will be taking up a "food" collection that will go to the food pantry.  So you are welcome to bring any amount of NON-perishable food that you like and we will get it to the food pantry.

Also, it was suggested that if you are going to come...you invite another class member to come along!!  I am sure we can all think of someone that we can call...it would be great to see some new faces or some faces that haven't been there in a while.

We also discussed having a 70th birthday picnic next summer at Muskego Park, since all of us ARE 70, or WILL BE 70 next year.  No date has been picked yet and the details haven't been worked out yet...but keep your ears and eyes open for further news on "The 70th Picnic".  If you have any suggestions please let us know.

Now on a sadder note...Mr. Don Jahr, who was the originator of the wrestling program, football coach, athletic director and assistant principal at Muskego during our hey-dey passed away this week.  There is a really nice article in this mornings Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  The funeral will be at Hartson Funeral Home in Hales Corners this coming Saturday.  Visitation from 9-11 when there will be a memorial service.

Since we have so much planned for our December lunch, I would really appreciate it if you would let me know if you will be coming and If you are bringing someone else...even if it is your spouse, so that I can let the restaurant know so they know which room to put us in.

This sure was a long email...but I had a lot to say and had to say it before I forgot it!!!  Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Sue
